Renovating in the centre of Athens is always an opportunity to reveal the rich history of buildings.
Such is the case of these two small flats, nested in a quiet street in Plaka. The old smaller rooms are demolished in favour of an open plan layout. The traces of the old walls are preserved and filled with marble slats. A modern terrazzo is inspired by the antique one.
New and old details sit side by side and complement each other.
